Thrive Accounting is now Thrive-Tax

Thrive Accounting is now Thrive-Tax.

This isn’t a dramatic reinvention or a pivot because I read a business book and got inspired on page 47. It’s just me being honest about what happened, what I’m best at, and what I want this firm to actually be.

In the last version of the business, I took on too much bookkeeping and payroll work. That stuff matters, but it also has a way of turning into nonstop problem-solving. You’re fixing yesterday’s mess, then something breaks again, then it’s Friday, and you’re chasing three different fires and none of them are even your fire.

I got buried in it.

So I took a step back for a bit. I needed to clear my head and figure out what I actually do best, because I knew I was spending too much time on the work that drains me and not enough time on the work where I’m genuinely useful.

And the answer was pretty obvious: I’m best at taxes and planning, and I’m best when I’m helping people.

Not just “filing your return.” Actually helping. Making sure you’re not paying more than you’re required to. Explaining things in normal language. Catching issues before they become problems. Building a plan that makes sense for your real life instead of giving generic advice and moving on.

That’s what Thrive-Tax is.

It’s a tighter focus, on purpose. I’d rather do fewer things at a high level than do everything and have the whole thing feel like chaos. Taxes have enough room for mistakes already. You want someone who is organized, proactive, and paying attention.

So if you worked with me before, the vibe is the same, but the mission is clearer. Less “random back office emergencies,” more actual guidance and advocacy.

If you’re looking for a CPA who’s going to be in your corner, keep things clean, and help you make smart moves, I’d love to work with you.
